From the past decade, it has been continuously growing trend seen for PMP certification. I think this rapid increase is because of it's fruitfulness in individual careers and also the success rate of projects implementing PMBOK principles.

The question arises here is, if PMP is still number one among all PM certifications? Is Agile methodologies not taking over this?
